Autonomy Party Constitution
In order to advance liberation and justice, we have established this party.
Article I. Name and Membership
Section 1: Name
The name of the organization is the Autonomy Party.
Section 2: Membership
The Autonomy Party shall grant membership to all qualified individuals who apply for membership and sign the membership form pledging to uphold the principles of the Autonomy Party. The Deputy Leader of the Revolution (or authorized representative) shall promote party members according to the document “New Autonomy Party Promotion Policy.” The Deputy Leader of the Revolution (or authorized representative) may also expel or otherwise discipline members from the party if they act in opposition to party principles and interests.
Section 3: Membership Activation
To activate membership, members must successfully complete the Autonomy Party Training Camp, conducted by the Deputy Leader of the Revolution (or authorized representative), or its equivalent.
Section 4: Membership Dues
The Autonomy Party may impose membership dues.
Section 5: Meetings
The Leader of the Revolution (or authorized deputy) shall call all party meetings and the Deputy Leader of the Revolution (or authorized deputy) shall conduct all party meetings.
Section 6: Exclusion of Membership
The Deputy Leader of the Revolution (or authorized representative) has the right to deny membership to anyone not acting in the best interests of the party.
Section 7: Privileges
Membership in the Autonomy Party shall involve many privileges and responsibilities. Non-members who obtain posts and titles shall be denied these privileges and responsibilities.
Article II. Party Posts and Titles
Section 1: Creation
The Leader of the Revolution shall create new posts.
Section 2: Assignment of Posts and Titles
The Deputy Leader of the Revolution (or authorized representative) shall confer posts and titles upon party members, or non-party members.
Section 3: Succession
The Autonomy Party shall use rank as the guide for determining succession to the position of the Leader of the Revolution.
Article III. Platform and Position Papers
Section 1: National Platform<
The Leader of the Revolution shall create and update the platform. The platform is binding.
Section 2: Other Writings
Party members may compose other writings consistent with the platform.
Section 3: State Platforms
The National Autonomy Party Platform shall be the State Platform unless otherwise specified by law.
Section 4: Local Platforms
The national Autonomy Party platform shall guide local platforms unless otherwise specified by law.
Article IV. Central Committees
Section 1: Selection
The State Leaders shall appoint the Central Committees.
Section 2: Responsibilities
The Central Committees shall conduct state conventions.
Article V. Executive Committees
Section 1: Selection
The State Leaders shall appoint the Executive Committees.
Section 2: Responsibilities
The Executive Committees shall have the responsibility for legal and financial reporting requirements as defined by state and federal law and other responsibilities as defined by the Leader of the Revolution.
Article VI. Subordination
Section 1: Subordination
The Autonomy Party Constitution is subordinate to the laws of the United States and the individual states.
Section 2: Election Laws
Laws of the United States and individual states governing the conduct of elections shall be part of this constitution.
Article VII. Endorsing Convention
Upon the notice of interested and eligible candidates seeking office, an endorsing convention shall be held. The time and date of this convention shall be determined by the respective Central Committee. Consideration of candidates for endorsement by the Autonomy Party shall be the only business of the convention.
Article VIII. Decision Making Processes
The Autonomy Party shall employ a combination of republican decision making and other types of decision making whenever possible and legally permitted.
Article IX. Amendments
Section I: Constitution
Amendments to the Autonomy Party Constitution shall be adopted upon 2/3 majority of present members. These amendments may occur any time need arises.
Section II: By-Laws
By-laws to the Autonomy Party Constitution shall be adopted upon the consent of the Autonomy Party. These by-laws shall occur anytime need arises.
Article X. Finances
The Leader of the Revolution (Andrew Bushard), Deputy Leader of the Revolution, the Treasurer, and authorized deputies shall conduct financial operations on behalf of the party, including but not limited to the establishment and use of official Autonomy Party bank accounts and the distribution and use of Autonomy Party funds. Donations and contributions shall be accepted in accordance to campaign finance law.
