Constitution of the Autonomy Party

Preamble:

In order to liberate ourselves and to synthesize the best of all political ideologies, this party has been established.

Article I. Name and Membership

Section 1: Name

The name of the organization is the Autonomy Party.

Section 2: Membership

Membership shall be granted to all those who apply for membership and sign the membership form pledging to uphold the principles of the Autonomy Party.  The Leader of the Revolution (Andrew Bushard) shall be responsible for promoting or demoting party members.  The Leader of the Revolution may also expel members from the party if they act in opposition to party principles and interests.

Section 3: Membership Activation

In order for membership to be activated, members must successfully complete the Autonomy Party Training Camp, conducted by the Deputy Leader
of the Revolution (or authorized deputy), or its equivalent.

Section 4: Membership Dues

No membership dues are required.  The enactment of membership dues is generally discouraged. 

Section 5: Meetings

All party meetings shall be called by the Leader of the Revolution (or authorized deputy) and shall be conducted by the Deputy Leader of the Revolution (or authorized deputy).

Section 6: Exclusion of Membership

The Leader of the Revolution has the right to deny membership to anyone not acting in the best interests of the Party.   

Section 7: Membership Requirements

All members joining after the date of March 28, 2004 are required to abstain from alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs.

Section 8: Privileges

Membership in the Autonomy Party shall involve many privileges and responsibilities which are unavailable to non-party members.  Non-members who obtain posts and titles shall be denied these privileges and responsibilities.

Article II. Party Posts and Titles

Section 1: Creation

The Leader of the Revolution shall be responsible for the creation of new posts.

Section 2: Assignment of Posts and Titles

The Leader of the Revolution shall be responsible for conferring posts and titles upon party members, or non-party members.

Section 3: List of Posts and Titles

Information about current posts in existence is available.

Section 4: Compensation

Party posts shall be unpaid positions.

Section 5: Succession

Rank shall be the guide for determining succession to the position of the Leader of the Revolution.   

Article III.  Platform and Position Papers

Section 1: National Platform

The platform is created by the Leader of the Revolution.  The platform may be updated at any time by the Leader of the Revolution.  The platform is binding.

Section 2: Position Papers

Position papers shall be drafted by the Leader of the Revolution which supplement the platform with new positions; or affirm and further articulate already established positions.  Position papers are binding.

Section 3: Other Writings

According to party principles and the Leader of the Revolution's consent, other party members may be permitted to compose other writings consistent with existing position papers and the platform.

Section 4: State Platforms

The National Autonomy Party Platform shall be the State Platform.  Any additional planks unique and necessary to the state party shall be determined by the State Leader and enacted upon consent of the Leader of the Revolution.   

Section 5: Local Platforms

Any local party organizations shall be governed by the national Autonomy Party platform.  Local party organizations shall also be governed by their state party platforms.  Any additional planks unique and necessary to the local party organization shall be determined by the Local Leader and enacted upon consent of the State Leader.

Article IV. Central Committees

Section 1: Selection

The Central Committees shall be appointed by the State Leaders. 

Section 2: Responsibilities

The Central Committees shall be charged with conducting state conventions.

Article V.  Executive Committees

Section 1: Selection

The Executive Committees shall be appointed by the State Leaders. 

Section 2: Responsibilities

The Executive Committees shall have the responsibility for legal and financial reporting requirements as defined by state and federal law and other responsibilities as defined by the Leader of the Revolution.

Article VI. Subordination

Section 1: Subordination 

The Autonomy Party Constitution is subordinate to the laws of the United States and Minnesota.

Section 2: Election Laws

Laws of the United States and Minnesota governing the conduct of elections shall be part of this constitution. 

Article VII.  Endorsing Convention

Upon the notice of interested and eligible candidates seeking office, an endorsing convention shall be held.  The time and date of this convention shall be determined by the respective Central Committee.  Consideration of candidates for endorsement by the Autonomy Party shall be the only business of the convention.

Article VIII. Decision Making Processes

The Autonomy Party shall employ autocratic decision making whenever possible and legally permitted.

Article IX.  Amendments

Section I: Constitution

Amendments to the Autonomy Party Constitution shall be adopted upon the consent of the Leader of the Revolution.  These amendments may occur any time need arises.

Section II: By-Laws

By-laws to the Autonomy Party Constitution shall be adopted upon the consent of the Leader of the Revolution.  These bylaws shall occur anytime need arises.

Article X.  Finances

The Leader of the Revolution (Andrew Bushard), Deputy Leader of the Revolution, the Treasurer, and authorized deputies are permitted to conduct financial operations on behalf of the party, including but not limited to the establishment and use of official Autonomy Party bank accounts and the distribution and use of Autonomy Party funds.  Donations and contributions shall be accepted in accordance to campagian finance law.  There shall be no charge for any Autonomy Party service or material.
